Can Dr. Amanda help diagnose my pet?
Dr. Amanda will review all lab work and diagnostics available. She may be able to diagnose a condition based on these results, but without a physical examination it may be impossible to do so. Dr. Amanda provides adjunct advice to the diagnosis made by your veterinarian.
What kind of test results should I send?
It is best to send any lab results you may have, including blood work, x-rays, and ultrasound or other imaging reports.
Who is Dr. Amanda?
Dr. Amanda Nascimento, DVM, MVSc., PhD is NHV's in-house veterinarian. She completed her undergraduate degree in veterinary medicine in 2010 and graduate studies in veterinary pathology (MVSc. 2012 and PhD 2016) at the University of São Paulo in Brazil. She has completed her post-doctoral training at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan in 2018. Dr. Amanda has a special interest in pathology and toxicology.
