I am currently fostering a 12 week old pup with distemper are there any holistic methods I could use?

My 2 year old Pom presented with sudden paralysis in her back left leg. Although Neuro Vet assumed IVDD, after MRI with contrast and spinal tap diagnosed her with auto immune meningitis MUO. My 6 year old 3.5lb. Yorkie was given a dose of Revolt (Selemectin) and suffered a horrible adverse response.
