Can I use milk thistle for my cats pancreatitis as he’s in much pain?

Hi. My 14 year old cat has been taking [pharmaceutical name removed] injections for diabetes for about a year now. I just deeply believe there is a way to deal more wholistic. We’ve cut carbs and only feed her pate for wet food. Even so the vet says her levels are up and higher the dose. So could she be insulin resistant? My cat is 17 with liver disease. Can I give him Milk Thistle tea from the health food sore. It has 1.5 grams per tea bag

We generally do not recommend making teas with supplements as your cat may not drink the entire dose at one time. We also cannot recommend using supplements meant for humans on cats. Our body weights are different, so that dose may be too much for him.
