What is Eleuthero or Siberian Ginseng?
Eleutherococcus senticosus is the Latin name for Siberian ginseng and is often referred to as eleuthero for short. Eleuthero grows as a shrub with dark green, palmate leaves found in Eastern Russia, China, Japan, and Korea. It produces tiny purple and green flowers followed by blue-black berries. The root is the part of the plant that is used for its medicinal properties and is commonly used dried.
