Henry James is a 3.5-year-old tri-color beagle who has had some tough times early in life. He was surrendered to a vet in Indiana – US when he was only 11 weeks old. He had 3 owners before finding his forever home with his amazing beagle mom Bernadette ❤️ As far as they knew, Henry was from a puppy mill in Northern IN and got dumped at the vet. This is the story of Henry and Bernadette’s fight against luxating patella arthritis.

Unfortunately, last year Henry was diagnosed with the luxating patella and diffuse arthritis from his back end, spine and shoulders, and hip dysplasia. Based on Henry’s x-rays and vet, he will have to have both knees operated on. Update April 4th, 2019:
Henry had surgery to fix both of his knees and after two days he was already walking around the yard with his dad’s help.
Henry James had his 2-week post-op visit today with his surgeon who was super pleased with his progress. He said that Henry has progressed beyond his expectations so he lifted a couple of restrictions. He can walk 1/8th of a mile and begin 1/4 mile next week.
We are so proud of the little guy who has not complained once. He has been calm and cooperative throughout. Thank you for your good wishes and prayers during this stressful time. It means everything to us. And thank you @nhvnaturalpet for your ongoing support of Henry and me.❤
