Captain Morgan says “Turmeric is the spice of life, Woof” Inspiring Pet Tails 2 min read
If there are angels in this world, then in our opinion Danielle is one of them. She adopted Captain Morgan. Prior to his adoption, this beautiful boy had been shot. We don’t know if it was a hunting accident or abuse, but we are so happy Danielle was there to rescue him. He suffered many health issues which included injuries in his hip, ribs and spine. It isn’t easy to recover from such a severe injury, but with lots of love and some holistic remedies, Captain Morgan is doing much better. Danielle put the Captain on NHV Turmeric, as this is beneficial for keeping inflammation in control and allows the body to heal gradually and naturally.
Inflammation is a part of the body’s natural healing process. As soon as an injury occurs, the immune system will respond by causing inflammation to protect the injury and allow for the healing to begin. If the injury is left untreated, the inflammation process might continue, causing chronic inflammation and pain in the surrounding areas. Studies have shown that ‘turmeric is powerful against pro-inflammatory diseases, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, depression, diabetes, obesity, and atherosclerosis.’
The Turmeric plant is native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. It is related to the ginger family. Curcumin is the active ingredient in Turmeric, which is an antioxidant that demonstrates anti-inflammatory properties. However, not many pet owners know that Curcumin is not bio available to animals, unless provided anther herbs as a carrier. Which is why NHV Turmeric is so beneficial for dogs and cats.
Here’s what Danielle said about NHV products:
Our bloodhound has been on turmeric for 2 months now. He has been getting up and down more smoothly and not as stiff in his backend. He loves the taste and we love how it has helped him <3 If only I could give this 10 stars!
We are so thankful this pup found his angel Danielle and that Danielle found us as holistic support to help this handsome guy heal.
Some other amazing herbal supplements that can be used for pain and inflammation along with Turmeric is Yucca. It is great for pain management, inflamed muscles and joints. It also aids digestion and stimulates appetite. Old Timer is very beneficial for our aging pets as it will help to keep inflammation down for pets suffering from arthritis and joint pain.
We wish Captain Morgan happy healthy days ahead. If you feel your pet needs some natural healing or support, do get in touch with your NHV pet Experts today!
