How NHV Fits Purrfectly in a Multi-Cat Household

There are benefits to having more than one cat, but they apply only when they are well-matched and have enough physical space to live together comfortably. Adequate space and resources are very important.

One benefit is that the two cats provide each other with exercise, social interaction, and other forms of mental stimulation. This means they have the opportunity to burn off excess energy, and this means they are less likely to be destructive or engage in other problematic behavior. Not to mention, lots more love and friends for life.

Lemon was struggling with weight gain due to kidney disease

Luckily, Oreo the patched tabby from Singapore, is very compatible with his brofurs and sisfur. They are similar in age, activity level, and have ample amounts of space to run and play. They even share a love for NHV supplements! Last year, we knew Lemon was struggling with weight gain due to kidney disease and Kiwi was struggling with pancreatitis. NHV helped them both. We recently got an update from the third sibling Oreo.

Oreo: this keeps me settled, nap well and eat well. Thank you @nhvnaturalpet 😺
Mommy’s note: Oreo was diagnosed with a mild kidney problem in 2015. The vet wouldn’t say it was a failure or damage at that point but it definitely would lead to that stage in the future. So we put him on medications until 2017 which was when the vet certified he was healthy enough to go without meds.
About a month ago we noticed he was losing weight, very unsettled, and not sleeping well. So we knew it was it all over again. We let him have Tripsy and it works well. He’s back to his old self just a day after having Tripsy 😊😍😘 .
p.s. one thing that makes us smile is he’ll go happily napping only after we give him his dose every day. He’ll do anything to remind us if we’ve forgotten 😄  (we don’t mix it with his food as he’s too familiar with the taste of his food and he doesn’t want to eat if anything is mixed into it)

Oreo takes NHV Tripsy for his kidney issues.  Lemon also takes Tripsy for his kidney condition. When giving NHV supplements in a multi-cat household, do ensure they are separated while feeding. Although the supplements are safe and gentle for all kitties, to ensure each kitty gets the accurate and full dosage in their food it’s always better to feed them separately.

Another alternative is to administer them orally, in a snack like plain yogurt or tuna juice using a syringe. With our herbal blends, consistency is key.

We wish Oreo many more naps and snuggles on the couch with his crew. Every pet parent knows there is nothing sweeter than coming home to your cats cuddling together on the couch. Multiple furballs equal multiple blisses.

We recently heard that Bianca is also joining her brofurs on the health route by starting NHV Turmeric

Quick tips for multi-cat households

  • Cats need personal space. For some cats, a peaceful chair or a nice perch is sufficient.
  • Separate feeding areas, water bowls, and litter trays. Provide at least one litter box for each cat in your home, plus one extra. The food must be guarded and protected!
  • Provide plenty of toys for each cat.
  • Scratching posts have territorial significance for cats. Provide both vertical and horizontal surfaces.
  • Get each of them to the vets regularly – keep a diary for their medicines, food, supplements, blood work, and any visible symptoms.
  • Clean the litter boxes and vacuum the house daily.
  • Watch while they eat and keep an eye on when they are using the litter box to avoid any bullying incidents.

Every cat is unique as its individual meows and purrs. If you have any questions about your kitty’s health, reach out to one of our Pet Experts.
