Hope for Cats with Mammary Tumors

We know how hard it can be for a pet parent to find out their furkid has cancer. Jason reached out to us because he was giving NHV ES Clear to his little kitty, who had an aggressive mammary tumor removed 2 years ago. Although the tumor had been removed, his girl had only been given 6 months to a year to live.

What is a Mammary Tumor?

Mammary Tumors occur due to the excess multiplication of cells in the breast tissue. Mammary Tumors can be benign, which means that they are non-cancerous. They can also be malignant, meaning that they are cancerous.

Unfortunately, mammary tumors in cats tend to be malignant. There are many different types of this tumor but the most common being Carcinomas.

What causes Mammary Tumors?

Like many cancerous tumors, it is difficult to determine the exact cause. Exposure to female reproductive hormones can cause a higher risk of developing mammary cancer in cats.

Cats that have not been spayed have an increased risk of developing mammary tumors than cats that have been spayed.

It is uncommon for male cats to develop these types of tumors, but it is still possible.

Treatment

It is widely recommended that mammary tumors be surgically removed

It is widely recommended that mammary tumors be surgically removed, this can also depend on the circumstances. For surgery, it must be taken into consideration if the cat is physically capable of undergoing surgery and the stage of cancer. In some cases, it is not worth removing because of the further harm and stress it can cause.

There is a risk that cancer may have spread even if the tumor has been successfully removed.

Chemo can be recommended once the tumor has been removed but it is never guaranteed to eradicate the disease. It is also important to understand the course of chemotherapy and how it will affect your pet.

Life after Mammary Tumors

Jason’s story with his kitty is a happy one! He reached out to us and said:

My cat had an aggressive breast cancer removed 2 years ago. Based on the pathology she should have only made it another 6mos to a year. I’m happy to say there has not been a recurrence or spread to the lungs yet. She just turned 15 and is doing great!

We understand that there may not always be a happy ending to a story that starts with mammary tumors. It is a long and hard road for both the pets and for owners too.

Our ES-Clear supplement is our main cancer support for pets, and we have received so much positive feedback from owners whose pets are suffering from the illness. It is so rewarding when we hear from pet parents like Jason about how our supplements are helping.

For extra support, we have created a kit with 3 supplements that work together to help fight cancer and improve quality of life.
Our Mammary Cancer Kit 2 contains:

  • ES-Clear – to help fight the cancer, support the immune system, and improve quality of life
  • Turmeric – has anti-cancer properties, helps to reduce inflammation and discomfort, and supports heart, liver, and digestive health.
  • Milk Thistle – supports liver function and regeneration, helps to detoxify the liver of any harmful toxins from pharmaceuticals.

Please know that if your pet has been diagnosed with mammary cancer that you don’t have to face it alone. We are always here to give advice or offer suggestions for additional support.

Hi I just read the text message from Dr. Amanda… thank you so much…I am having doubts as to if it is cancer or an abscess..she keeping licking her mass as it is draining a clear yellow and pink fluid and is greatly reduced in size..Saatchi is enjoying life as I said…Yes my vet wants Surgury but my long experience with cancer in my human family and my fur babies has frequently shown a spread to other organs…as it is she is 15 years old and is showing no discomfort or any difference from her happy routine..,because of this we have decided to not do anything invasive and instead treat her with your great homeopathic remedies…if she needs anything else like turmeric or milk thistle or anything topic please let me know…I am enclosing a pic of my beautiful Saatchi…thanks again Karen

      Hi Karen,

We’re sorry we didn’t get back to you sooner on your blog comments in the Hope for Cats with Mammary Tumor blog. We see that Dr. Amanda has already responded to you via email.

She recommends ES-Clear and Natures Immuno as both of these supplements can form a really good regimen to help reduce the growth. We know you’ve shared with us about the size of the growth reducing since being on these two recommendations.

Milk Thistle and Turmeric are both super herbs that you can use as preventative (and ongoing) care dietary regimen. Milk Thistle can help to detoxify the toxin traces from her liver naturally and gently while supporting the liver functions. Turmeric has curcumin properties that can help manage any pain and reduce any inflammation in her system.

Saatchi is so lucky to have you as her meowmy, you love and do so much for her! We’re so happy for her. ♥ How is she doing of late?

We’re always just a message away if you need anything. Sending Saatchi and the furmily lots of love and warm hugs. ♥
