Your pet’s treats should be wholesome and uncomplicated, just like their love for you. That’s why we love sweet potato for dogs. Without any additional ingredients, this superfood is sweet and simple.

With NHV’s Sweet Potato Dog Chip Treats, there’s now a convenient way to offer this superfood to your pup that is healthy, grain-free, and uncomplicated.

How We Turn Love and Sweet Potatoes into Treats

How do we transform sweet potatoes into treats? Well, it all starts from the ground up: choosing sweet potatoes that are great for the planet and the your pet!

How? Well at NHV we’re passionate about reducing our environmental impact, which is why we’ve teamed up with suppliers to turn rescued fruits and vegetables into our dehydrated pet treats.

Some veggies don’t meet the visual standards of grocery stores and are often left to rot – despite being just as nutritious! By using these slightly imperfect veggies, NHV is able to create tasty, healthy snacks while helping reduce food waste, carbon footprints, and water waste. It’s a win for both pets and the planet!

Then, we crafted our treats in small batches by a professional chef in British Columbia. We inspect each piece for quality, adding nothing – not salt, flavors, additives, or preservatives. This is possible because they are naturally preserved through a process of dehydration, which keeps the flavors but inhibits the growth of bacteria.

NHV Sweet Potato treats are made as though we were making them for ourselves. The result of this labor of love? Drool-worthy treats that had our office dog Caze begging for more!

The Health Benefits of Sweet Potato for Dogs

Sweet potato for dogs is true superfood. Because it’s packed with a wide variety of natural benefits, we only needed this one wholesome ingredient to make our sweet potato treats!

One of the key benefits of sweet potatoes is their high content of both soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber is known to support healthy cholesterol levels. Insoluble fiber promotes digestive health, ensuring that your pet’s system stays regular and their gut remains in top condition.

In addition to fiber, sweet potatoes are rich in phytonutrients, including beta-carotenes. Beta-carotenes are a class of pigments that actually give sweet potatoes their which gives them their signature hue. Best of all, these plant-based compounds can contribute to maintaining healthy eyes, skin, and joints.

Finally, sweet potatoes also provide essential vitamins like A and C, along with crucial minerals such as manganese and copper, helping to support your pet’s immune system and overall vitality.
