We don’t always hear about all the people out in the world doing good – the ordinary people doing extraordinary things. But they’re out there, and they are an inspiration. Kira Rescue, is a nonprofit organization, a hospice for abused and special needs pets in need of a second chance. We are so grateful that they are part of our #NHVpets family.
Back in February, Kira Rescue told us of a little 13-year-old Shih Tzu, who they took in after he was surrendered to the Downy Animal Shelter. He was covered in mats, bruises, and dirty fur. On top of all that, he was suffering from Cushing’s disease.
It took just one look and we all just fell instantly in love with this little nugget, Gogo.
Gogo had been battling Cushing’s disease for some time and had become lethargic and had lost the strength in his legs. His once luxurious locks, which he loved getting groomed, had fallen out and his skin was dry.

If your pet only eats dry food then soak a few kibbles at feeding time.
