Pancreatitis is a condition that occurs when the pancreas becomes inflamed. Pancreatitis in cats has no age, sex, or breed predisposition and appears to occur spontaneously, without any identified trigger or inciting cause. In this happy tale, pet parent Louise shares the story of Kiwi’s recovery from pancreatitis and kidney disease.
Kiwi was diagnosed with pancreatitis at the beginning of 2018. His mom decided to start him on NHV’s all-natural supplements when she saw that Lemon, Kiwi’s brother, had experienced an improvement in his health and quality of life after taking NHV’s supplements for cats with kidney disorders.
The most common clinical signs of pancreatitis include:
If you think your cat has pancreatitis, it is recommended to take your furry friend to the vet for a blood test to check the pancreatic enzyme levels and also values to gauge kidney function.
Kiwi experienced a fluctuating appetite since his pancreatitis diagnosis. He started taking NHV’s supplements to help improve his health and to help provide support for kidney disease.
Louise sent us updates on Kiwi’s health in December 2018.
The recent blood test showed that his Pancreatitis had been overcome and kidney value has improved. The most obvious sign of his health improvement is he’s not vomiting brownish stuff since he started the supplements. Thank you and Happy New Year!
– Louise
We are so happy to be part of Kiwi’s holistic regimen that has helped him overcome this condition with our feline pancreatitis support supplements. We wish our NHV friends – Kiwi and Lemon good health and happiness in this new year.
NHV Tripsy – A balanced formula of herbs that help maintain healthy kidney function, remove waste build-up, inhibit infection and reduce inflammation, swelling, and discomfort. NHV Tripsy is beneficial for chronic kidney disorders, urinary infections, bladder stones (uroliths), and renal failure.
NHV Mellit – An all-natural supplement that helps aid circulation and support healing for diabetes mellitus and pancreatitis in cats. It is an herbal formulation that helps control blood sugar levels and strengthens and protects other organs from severe imbalances that may be triggered throughout the body. NHV Mellit is used in support of diabetes in cats, a common pancreatic disorder that occurs when sugars build up in the bloodstream rather than entering the tissue to provide energy. It also contributes to improved energy and vitality in your cat as well as providing feline pancreatitis support.

Holistic Rabbit Kidney Supplement Support
Sometimes it can be tricky to tell what is bothering your furry companion, because no two pets are alike! But a common health issue that affects our bunny pals is kidney disease. These two bean-shaped organs have several key roles: removing metabolic wastes from the body and maintaining the correct balance of water and electrolytes (salts) within the body. Another important role is producing essential hormones that help maintain healthy blood pressure, production of new blood cells, and allow the body to absorb salt. Lastly, the urinary system processes vitamin D - an integral component for calcium absorption and bone growth.
The two most common types of renal issues are kidney degeneration (often age-related) which can lead to organ failure and acute kidney failure, where symptoms develop suddenly over a few days or weeks and can lead to the kidneys shutting down quickly. This may cause irregularities in your bunny’s urinary output. To figure out if your furkiddo has kidney issues, your vet can run some tests like bloodwork, urinalysis, radiographs, ultrasounds, and/or CT scans, to further investigate their symptoms. The typical course of action for rabbit kidney problems includes intravenous fluid therapy (under the supervision of your trusted vet), the addition of glycoproteins and a kidney-specific, balanced diet.
Symptoms of Rabbit Kidney Problems
For kidney degeneration or acute kidney issues, we'd suggest adding a natural rabbit kidney supplement like NHV Tripsy™ to your bunny's daily feeding schedule. It can safely be used short-term as well as long-term as a natural health support. Tripsy™ promotes healthy kidney, bladder, and urinary tract functions and may eliminate kidney stone formation in all of your bunny pals (both young and old).
How NHV’s Supplements Ease Rabbit Kidney Problems
Kidney issues can cause a lot of stress and worry in your Lop and Lionhead pals. Ingredients like parsley piert and stone root have diuretic properties that gently regulate urine flow, if on the low/infrequent side, to help keep things flowing normally and prevent the formation of kidney and bladder calculi (often called stones). Herbs like Wild hydrangea and Gravel root have traditionally been used for supporting kidney and urinary health by helping to break down, dissolve and remove stones and prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs). Other ingredients like Echinacea purpurea and Oregon grape's defense against microorganisms help combat infections. And lastly, Marshmallow soothes irritated internal tissues and protects cells from oxidative damage.

Holistic Kidney Support for Pet Sheep and Goats

Just like humans, pet goats and sheep may develop kidney issues during their lifetime. NHV Tripsy™ is an all-natural plant-based remedy that may help provide support for pet goats and sheep so they can keep things flowing and help prevent issues like bladder stones or pulpy kidney in sheep and goats.

NHV Tripsy™ is an all-natural plant-based remedy that may help provide support for pet goats and sheep so they can keep things flowing and help prevent issues like bladder stones or pulpy kidney in sheep and goats.
Sometimes it can be tricky to know what is causing discomfort for your pet! But a health issue that can affect our ewe and billy goat pals is sudden kidney failure. These two bean-shaped organs have several vital roles: removing toxic wastes from the body and maintaining fluid levels in the body. Another critical function is producing essential hormones that help support healthy blood pressure, make new blood cells, and allow the body to absorb salt. Lastly, the kidney helps process vitamin D - an integral component for calcium absorption and bone growth.
A severe kidney issue that may afflict our sweet pet sheep and goats is overeating disease, also known as "pulpy kidney" or "enterotoxemia." Symptoms may suddenly appear over a few days or weeks and lead to complete organ failure. This condition is especially devastating for young lambs and kids. It is caused by a bacterium typically found in the soil and is part of the normal flora and fauna in the GI tract of healthy sheep and goats. When the bacterium multiples, it releases a toxin that poisons the body. Young unvaccinated lambs and older sheep, feeding on lush pasture or grain or are suddenly eating richer feed are most likely to develop pulpy kidney. However, the disease can occur at any time. Stinkwort (Dittrichia graveolens), a strong-smelling weed, may encourage the spread of this disease since its barbed hairs may damage the intestines and increase toxin absorption.
For kidney degeneration or acute kidney issues, we'd suggest adding a natural kidney supplement like NHV Tripsy™ to your pet sheep or goat's daily meals as well as keep their vaccinations up to date. It can safely be used short-term as well as long-term as a natural health support. Tripsy™ promotes healthy kidney and bladder function and helps keep things flowing.
