You know what they say? When you need a hand, find a paw. We are doing exactly that for all the pet parents who have signed up for our #NHVtransformations challenge.
At the start of 2019, as we struggled with our New Year’s resolutions, we realized our pets help us with so much.
In more ways than one, their lessons in meows and woofs make us better people.
They help us wake up early, get out, and get going. Some of us even try to stay healthy and find good jobs just so we can give them a good life (guilty!) In more ways than one, their lessons in meows and woofs make us better people.
This got us thinking ..maybe they could help us with our new year goals?
With the plan of transforming together, we have been inviting pet parents to join us for a challenge – the #NHVTransformations Challenge!
At the end of March 2019, one of these pet parents is going to win a hamper of goodies as a reward and of course, everyone is going to be a ‘transformed’ winner! Do you want to sign up too?
She’s been trying to squeeze in 5-minute yoga sessions every day. She’s gotten the kitties to start eating some real food treats. She’s excited to try some dance lessons on Youtube, and head outdoors every weekend for a walk or a run with her husband. She’s also been making more time to get her adorable fluff-balls Fizz and Blu some exercise.
She’s been holidaying but she is still watching her meals. And to make sure her mama eats healthy, her cat Kitty Mojito has also joined the challenge.
With the #NHVTransformations challenge she is taking small, but firm steps to her goal. She enjoys walking so her NHV Pet Expert found her some really nice walking groups in the neighborhood.
While the two are exploring agility training this year, they are also trying to include healthy foods like smoothies, pumpkin purees, and salads in their diet!
We’re excited to see how well Jonathan does on it.
But this year she wants to work on her and little Henry’s health together. With this enthusiasm, we continue working on our goals, together as a pet parent community.
They are already making improvements!
It’s easy to get comfortable indoors when you have such cute kitties for company. But she’s determined to get out there and make new plans!
We are so happy to be a part of these journeys and transformations.
We’ve been checking on all our participants every week. We are working together with them, taking baby steps towards their goals. And we’ve been enjoying every bit of it. From what we hear, the participating pet parents have been enjoying the ride too.
We asked pet parents what goal they needed help within this new year. Surprisingly, many had similar goals. Many wanted to eat better, some wanted to get more active and a lot of pet parents simply wanted to find more ‘me’ time. The team of NHV Pet Experts got working right away!
Each participant of the #NHVtransformations challenge has been assigned a Pet Expert and gets a custom plan of action emailed to them. The expert tries to understand their background, do some research, and fetch helpful local resources. The assigned expert also finds tips to involve their pets and take their help in making it easier for the parents to achieve what they desire.
Do you have a goal that you could use a paw with? Sign up right away. The more people to share happy before-afters with, the merrier.

Herbal dietary supplements are beneficial to the health and well-being of your pet and are safe for long-term use. Every pet responds to natural herbal supplements differently, therefore it is important to be consistent and administer the product daily. Supplements generally take two to four weeks to take effect, however this will vary from one animal to the next.

If your pet's gums or nose are noticeably paler than usual, it is important you see your veterinarian as soon as possible. This is a potential sign of anemia, which can be serious.
Anemia is a low red blood cell count. The blood is made up of different parts, red cells, white cells, platelets and plasma. Plasma is the liquid that the cells are carried in. With anemia, the number of red cells in the blood is low. In general, blood should contain 35-45% red cells. One major function of these cells is to carry oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body. When the red cell count is low, the body does not easily receive the oxygen needed.
Anemia can be caused by a number of factors. Kidney disease can lead to anemia, because the kidneys play a vital role in producing red blood cells. Autoimmune conditions can cause anemia, when the body attacks and damages its own red cells. Toxins can cause anemia by damaging red blood cells...and much more. If you suspect your pet is anemic, it is very important to have them seen by your veterinarian as soon as possible.
Anemia can be caused by many different factors. This is not an overall cure for anemia, but it can help support the body and stimulate the creation of red blood cells. It is extremely important to also address the underlying cause of the anemia.

Heal your pet’s wounds naturally with these vet-formulated and vet-approved natural pet remedies. Used together, NHV All Clear Ointment and NHV First Aid Spray help speed healing and help prevent infection to keep your pet healthy and happy!
Your dog, cat, or other pet is bound to experience wounds, cuts, or scrapes in their lives. As a pet parent, it is important to keep your pet’s wounds as clean as possible to help speed and prevent infection. Use the NHV First Aid Spray plus NHV All Clear Ointment as a natural and holistic way to help heal your pet’s wounds or skin infections quickly.
Use the NHV First Aid Spray for dogs or for cats as a natural antiseptic for dogs and cats first. Then gently apply the NHV All Clear Ointment to soothe inflamed skin for dogs or for cats, and eliminate any bacterial and fungal infections from your pet’s wounds.
Keep your cat, dog, or other pet warm and dry as their wounds begin to heal. Cold weather may make wounds weaker and result in longer healing times for your pet.
Some conditions, like anemia and malnutrition may cause problems in healing. See NHV’s anemia kit if your pet suffers from anemia.
For serious trauma and open wounds that require medical attention, please see your veterinarian immediately, so they may begin to treat and stabilize your cat, dog, or other pet. After any serious trauma, your pet may still be in a state of shock. You may want to consider adding NHV Matricalm for cats to their daily healing routine to help calm and soothe their nerves or Lesstress for dogs.
