For us, this sponsorship is an opportunity to show up for the people behind the pets and stand alongside a community working toward a future where fewer families are affected by breast cancer.

Supporting a Legacy of Hope
This year is the CIBC Run for the Cure’s 30th annual run, an incredible milestone. This initiative by the Canadian Cancer Society has brought together communities across the country to raise funds for breast cancer research, support services, and advocacy.
Every runner has a reason for being there.
For themselves. For their mom. Their sister. A partner, best friend, colleague, or neighbour. For someone currently going through treatment. For someone who survived. Or for someone whose memory they carry with them.
Every runner, every donation, and everyone cheering on the sidelines – each person helps to fuel the momentum for change. The funds raised at this event help to fuel compassionate care and life-changing and life-saving breast cancer research.
We are honored to stand alongside them this October. It reflects our core belief: that healing, health, and hope belong to every family member.
More Than a Pet: Part of the Support System.
There are many people who make up someone’s support system during a difficult time: family, friends, caregivers, healthcare professionals, colleagues, and communities. And sometimes, there’s a four-legged member of that support system too.
Pets don’t understand a diagnosis. They don’t need to know the right thing to say. They simply know how to be there. A familiar face waiting when you come home. A reason to get outside for a walk. A little silliness on a difficult day. Or simply quiet company when that’s what you need most.

What to Expect on Run Day
Run day in Vancouver this year is October 4th, 2026.
Once there, we will all join at Concord Pacific Park in Downtown Vancouver to walk and run together in remembrance of those lost to breast cancer, in support of those living with a diagnosis – and with hearts full of hope for the future.
The run itself is either 1k or 5k, depending on the participants’ choice. Before the big run/walk at 9:30 AM, there will be opening ceremonies.
Have a pet? Because pets are such important parts of a family’s support network, participants are welcome to bring their friendly leashed dogs along for the event. Many participants from past years have even dressed their pup up for the day in pink.
This year, the NHV team joins the run onsite with a pet-friendly booth created just for your fur kiddos. We’ll even be handing out free pet-safe treats to keep those tails wagging. So, be sure to stop by and say hi! Our team would love to meet your pup, and we may even ask you to be a part of an interview about what showing up for the breast cancer community means for you.

Shake well before use. The easiest method is to use the dropper provided and place the drops into your pet’s food or favorite treat. Some pets can be finicky, if this occurs consider hiding the drops in foods most pet’s love such as fish, chicken or yogurt or a favorite treat. If your pet only eats dry food then soak a few kibbles at feeding time.
