Supports healing of pancreatitis and diabetes mellitus in cats
To go natural or not – this may be an easy choice for some pet owners, but it’s a dilemma for others. There are a plethora of holistic remedies on the market but the question many pet lovers ask is – Do they work?
Natural remedies take a holistic approach, using a blend of synergistic herbs that help support the whole system gently and effectively.
Well yes, they do work, but natural remedies take a different approach to dealing with disease and sickness than the more conventional medicines on the market. And here’s how. Non-natural medicines treat the symptoms with an attitude of seeking and destroying. They go to war with the virus, bacteria, or infection killing it quickly. Unfortunately, wars tend to kill the innocent too- AKA- the good bacteria and the natural immune system, and a bombardment of strong medicine often damages the kidneys, liver, and stomach.
Natural remedies take a holistic approach, using a blend of synergistic herbs that help support the whole system gently and effectively. They help the symptoms, boost the immune system, strengthen the diseased or infected organs and deal with other areas that may be affected through illness such as poor digestion, incontinence, or itchy skin.
For example, when helping with pet diabetes the holistic pet remedy, Mellit, manages blood sugar and helps the liver, the eyes, circulation, and cholesterol, all areas affected by diabetes.
Take a look at the natural vs. non-natural support for ear mites.
Mullein – Soothes and lubricates.
St. John’s Wort – Reduces inflammation and promotes faster healing.
Neem – Helps eliminate parasites and has healing properties.
Calendula –Treats and alleviates skin irritation and inflammation.
Marigold – Clears infection and heals skin.
Garlic – Fights and prevents viruses, bacteria, and parasites.
Kills mites – but can also cause loss of hearing. If treatment follows the use of corticosteroids side effects include increased thirst, vomiting, and diarrhea. If taken after steroid therapy, a side effect could be Cushing’s syndrome.
Responsible pet owners are going holistic, let nature nurture, heal and protect your pet.

If your furkiddo is always thirsty, has less energy, is looking dull and is maybe carrying a little extra weight, they may be suffering from Cushing’s disease and malnutrition. Keep in mind - a hormonal imbalance could be mistaken for normal aging but something more serious may be going on. Our Cushing’s Disease Super Support and Nutritional Balance Kit is formulated to help address areas of the body affected by an overactive adrenal gland and help the body eliminate wastes.
Cushing's disease is caused by the overproduction of cortisol and is a fairly common hormonal imbalance in our furry friends. A range of causes can overstimulate the adrenal glands, but most commonly, Cushing's is caused by a pituitary gland tumor, known as an adenoma. As scary as this sounds, if caught early, your pet may be able to maintain a good quality of life and manage their symptoms. If left untreated, this type of tumor may later develop into cancer. The telltale signs of Cushing's develops from the body being exposed to excess cortisol (or related hormones) over an extended period of time. Symptoms of Cushing's may come across as normal signs of aging so age is most likely a factor as well. Cushing syndrome in dogs does not usually develop until much later in life (around age 10). Although less common, Cushing's Disease can affect kitties too.
Certain breeds of dogs are more prone to Cushing's, partly because certain breeds are more sensitive to stress. Poodles, Jack Russell Terriers, Beagles, and Dachshunds are a few dog breeds more likely to develop this kind of adrenal imbalance. Keep in mind, this is not a complete list of breeds.
For Cushing’s disease in dogs and cats with possible malnutrition (from excessive urination), we'd suggest adding NHV’s Cushing’s Disease Super Support and Nutritional Balance Kit to their daily meals. This bundle of natural remedies contains Supraglan, Milk thistle and Multi Essentials which have been specifically formulated for pets to gently support the adrenal glands, help soothe inflammation, and encourage detoxification.
Because Cushing's is an adrenal gland disorder, it impacts so many areas of the body. We would recommend holistic support that aids each of the affected areas while minimizing side effects to help your furkiddo get their health back on track! NHV’s Cushing’s Disease Super Support and Nutritional Balance Kit contains 3 all-natural supplements: Supraglan, Milk thistle and Multi Essentials.
It’s great to know that there are ways to support your little one’s health naturally!
