Four Pomeranians, four completely different personalities, and four different ways of managing common Pomeranian health concerns.
Meet Klara, Kash, Riley, and Koko. The poms are famous and even have their own Instagram page!
At almost 13, Klara needs extra respiratory support as she navigates congestive heart failure and a collapsed trachea. Kash is six and working through a Grade 2 luxating patella. Riley is rebuilding his confidence after a scary stair injury, while Koko deals with car ride anxiety.
When you share your home with multiple pets, care is never one-size-fits-all. But dedicated pet parent Deirdre pays close attention to each Pom’s needs. She always steps in with proactive, holistic care and tailored routines to keep each of her fur babies happy and healthy.
Here’s how she uses NHV natural supplements to give each fur kid the personalized care they deserve.
At almost 13, Klara is the eldest pom in the furmily.
She has a few conditions, two of which can be common in older pups: Congestive Heart Failure and Collapsed Trachea. These mean breathing isn’t always easy for her.

Therefore, every day is about preserving her comfort, breathing, and overall quality of life. That’s why her paw mom uses NHV Resp-Aid to give her gentle, herbal respiratory support alongside her regular veterinary care.
Here is what Deirdre shared about Klara’s journey:
Klara can be particular about new additions to her food, so I mix her Resp-Aid into a small amount of plain greek yogurt… Resp-Aid has fit naturally into that approach. Seeing Klara continuing to explore, enjoy her walks and be so interested in everything around her at almost 13 makes my heart incredibly full.
NHV Resp-Aid was made for pups just like Klara, and we are so happy to know that she’s feeling a bit more like herself after starting!
At six years old, Kash is full of energy, but joint wellness became a top priority for him early on.

After being diagnosed with a Grade 2 luxating patella – a condition where the kneecap temporarily slips out of its normal groove – his paw mom knew that protecting his knees and mobility could not wait until he grew old.
For small breeds like Pomeranians, luxating patella is one of the most common orthopedic conditions. Deirdre explains why taking a proactive approach made all the difference for Kash:
One of the biggest things Kash’s journey has taught me is how much I value being proactive rather than waiting until his senior years to start thinking about his joints. Watching him run, play and enjoy being active means everything to me, and supporting his long-term mobility will continue to be an important part of the care I give him.
To complement his strengthening exercises and daily therapeutic work, Deirdre added NHV Turmeric to mealtime. Like all NHV supplements, it uses only human-grade ingredients. In this case, a whole-spectrum extract of turmeric root and black pepper. This liquid supplement provides natural antioxidant support to encourage healthy joint function and supports the body’s inflammatory response.
Anxiety can be common in Poms. The symptoms can include shaking, clinging, and non-stop barking or whining.

While car rides are supposed to be fun adventures, being in the car causes sweet Koko nervousness and anxiety. To help her settle in and stay relaxed during long drives, her mom relies on NHV Lesstress.
Formulated with herbs that have been traditionally used to help ease anxiety, NHV Lesstress may help pets keep their cool without causing drowsiness. It’s not just for travel, either. It can be used during storms, routine changes, or, as we’ll see for Riley, it may help fur kids overcome a specific trigger…
Finally, we have little Riley.
Riley’s needs shifted after a scary fall down the stairs left him with fluid in his lungs, affecting his breathing and shaking his confidence. While Resp-Aid provided natural respiratory support alongside his veterinary care during his physical recovery, the emotional impact lingered long after his lungs healed. Approaching those same stairs suddenly made him hesitate and feel unsure.

Today, I use Lesstress during moments that can make him feel unsure after that injury to help keep him calm and rebuild confidence.
Riley’s story reminds us that healing is not always just physical. By pairing ongoing care with NHV Lesstress and Resp-Aid, Deirdre gives Riley the natural emotional support he needs, as well as supporting his lungs as they clear.
With the same formulas effective for managing different pups’ conditions, it can be super convenient and easy to incorporate NHV supplements into their everyday routines.
Klara, Kash, Koko, and Riley remind us that pet care is never one-size-fits-all.

Natural Dog Stress Reliever Supplemental Support
With a heightened sense of hearing and smell, small events that seem mundane to us can be terrifying and stressful for your dogs. Sometimes the stress is from the ride to the office, or maybe they are missing their human companions. This all contributes to changes in behavior like excessive panting, drooling, sweaty paws, dilated eyes, pacing, excessively shedding, or just completely shutting down. Some dogs become so stressed that it may lead to fear and aggression.
Other forms of stress in a dog’s life include:
In addition to panting, excessive barking/whining, chewing on themselves, shivering (when it’s not cold), panicked tail wagging, or tense muscles, stress can also cause GI tract issues such as diarrhea or vomiting.
The key to a healthy pup is balance. Too much or too little activity can be harmful, as well as too much or too little socialization. A balanced, clean diet also helps maintain the body and the mind. If your dog is susceptible to stress, you can use calming herbs like those found in NHV Lesstress. This formulation gently acts on the nervous system and immune system to provide a natural dog stress reliever.
How NHV’s Natural Dog Stress Relief Eases Stress and Anxiety
For stressful experiences such as separation anxiety, the loss or addition of a furry friend, special events (eg. fireworks) and illness (stress can cause conditions to worsen), the natural (non-addictive) sedative properties of Lesstress gently relax the nervous system and endocrine system. Ingredients like Chamomile, Passion Flower and Lemon Balm work to calm nerves while ingredients like Reishi, Eleuthero, and Echinacea Angustifolia are very beneficial for helping the body adapt to stress and illness and stimulate healthy immune function.
