Spend a few minutes gazing at his photographs and we bet you’ll fall in love. This silver lab is 9 years old and is a pro at pulling off those puppy eyes. His cancer tale involves integrative care – holistic natural support along with chemotherapy. Milo’s cancer scare started in November 2016 and since then it’s been a roller coaster ride of mixed emotions. When he first started with chemo, the vet had said we’ll see if he’s still here after 3-6 months. But Milo is here and we are the happiest to be a part of his story.
Like with any progressive disease, we are taking it one day at a time. But just that we are making sure it is one happy day at a time.

My Milo has diagnosed in November thanks to a super caring vet who had a “bad feeling” about a 2nd lump appearing less than 2 months after the first was removed. She referred us to an oncologist who thought it was a coincidence but did an ultrasound anyway. They found mast cells on his spleen. The vet said that had it gone undiagnosed, he most likely would’ve been gone in 2 months!
IV chemo has been literally a lifesaver. I wholeheartedly believe that the supplements as well as a natural diet (which I started in October before he was diagnosed) are working with the chemo to keep him healthy! His last scans showed barely a trace of cancer!! And the Old Timer has been amazing! He has right hip issues and would struggle to get up after playing ball or any kind of exercise. His back end would also shake considerably because of the chemo. Now he runs/jumps/swims with little to no noticeable issues!

Thanks to Milo’s Mum for sharing this with us. We’ve been watching our silver lab (that’s how we now call him) closely. We got to know his mom was stopping the supplements when Milo was going for chemo but we told her that there’s no such need. Our cancer supplements are perfectly fine to give along with chemo. Hello! Fantastic news today! Milo’s scan came back CLEAR! No sign of mast cells in his spleen! The vet recommended ending IV chemo and switched him to an oral maintenance drug every 3 weeks. Couldn’t be happier and more grateful for all your fantastic supplements! 💖

We are *beyond* excited to receive the good news that Milo has now been cancer-free for 3 months. A little while back, Milo struggled with a little bout of fever and stopped eating. Now that he’s feeling better, we look forward to more photos and videos of this cutie.

Milo turns 11 next month and has been with us since age 9. We can’t believe how fast the amazing moments we get with our fur babies go by. Very emotional story for me. Lost my first dog Casey to cancer. Glad to see a happy ending to Milo. May you have many more years of love and happiness with Milo.
