This good boy is Charles Thickens. Don’t be fooled by his grumpy-looking face; Charles loves his family and they love him back, even though he sometimes gives them a bit of cattitude!
For eleven years, Charles’ owner Jon has taken care of this sassy-looking cat, giving him lots of love and care. A New Challenge: Managing Feline Kidney Disease
The love for Charles Thickens only grew with age. However, along with age, sometimes new health and wellness challenges appear. For Charles, this was Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
CKD in cats is an abnormality of kidney function, which can make fur kiddos uncomfortable. The symptoms include lethargy, increased thirst and urination, decreased appetite and weight loss, vomiting, diarrhea, and more.

The adrenal glands may be small, but they play a crucial role in maintaining the body's hormonal balance. In a healthy body, the pituitary gland (located at the base of the brain) can detect dwindling cortisol levels.
