At NHV, supporting animal rescue organizations is a huge part of who we are. That’s why we were honoured to support Korean K9 Rescue’s annual Raise the Woof: SOS – Save Our Shelter fundraiser by donating a selection of our veterinarian-formulated supplements as charity raffle prizes. Every raffle ticket sold helped raise funds to improve the place where countless rescue dogs begin their journey toward a forever home.
Who Is Korean K9 Rescue?
Every rescue starts with compassion, but keeping a rescue running takes an entire community.
Korean K9 Rescue is a non-profit No-Kill dog rescue that operates out of New York and South Korea. In Korea, they rescue dogs who face many different challenges. Before these dogs ever find their forever families, they are given the time, care, rehabilitation, and training they need to recover physically and emotionally.
In South Korea, many dogs face grave dangers due to the persistent dog meat trade and an unfortunate social stigma surrounding mixed-breed dogs. Because of these challenges, homeless or mistreated dogs are rarely adopted locally and face high risks of euthanasia.
KK9R steps in directly to change those outcomes. Working closely with rescue partners on the ground in South Korea, they rehabilitate, transport, and rehome at-risk dogs with loving families across North America. Their mission rests on a simple, powerful belief: all dogs deserve to be happy and free.
Since launching, the organization has helped nearly 4,000 dogs find loving homes. Every successful adoption begins long before a family says “yes.” It starts with the rehabilitation and training that help these dogs learn to trust again.
Supporting Raise the Woof: SOS – Save Our Shelter
This year, KK9R hosted Raise the Woof: SOS – Save Our Shelter, their annual fundraising campaign dedicated to raising money for essential repairs and renovations to their rehabilitation and training centre in Bundang, South Korea.
Rescue dogs often come from stressful environments. Think cold streets, neglectful homes, or meat farms where their physical health has taken a toll. The transition from a shelter or a new foster home requires a lot of energy and resilience from pups, many of whom have to learn how to trust humans again.
To support KK9R’s efforts, NHV contributed a shipment of our natural, vet-formulated supplements on August 30. These products went towards their charity raffle, which was raising funds for much-needed repairs at their facility. Water damage, wear and tear, and other issues were all starting to take a toll.

How to Administer
Shake well before use.
The easiest method is to use the dropper provide and places the drops into your pet’s food or favorite treat. You can also use the dropper and squirt directly into the pet’s mouth.
Some pets can be finicky, if this occurs consider hiding the drops in foods most pet’s love such as fish, chicken or yogurt or a favourite treat. If your pet only eats dry food then soak a few kibbles at feeding time.

Pet's Weight Dosage
To be taken twice daily. All NHV supplements are designed to be used together, and can, therefore, be given at once for convenience.

Pet's Weight Dosage
0 - 15 lb = 0.5 ml
16 - 30 lb = 1.0 ml
31 - 45 lb = 1.5 ml
46 - 60 lb = 2.0 ml
61 - 75 lb = 2.5 ml
Over 75 lb = 3.0 ml
For small animals (rabbits, ferrets), avians and reptiles use 1 drop for every 2 lb of body weight.
Long term use: Feed recommended dosage every other day (1 day on 1 day off). If used in large dosages or over a long period of time it may become irritating to the stomach lining. Some pets may require a larger dosage due to their metabolism. You can safely double the recommended dosage.
How to Administer: Shake well before use. The easiest method is to use the dropper provided and place the drops into your pet’s food or favorite treat. You can also use the dropper and squirt directly into the pet’s mouth. Some pets can be finicky, if this occurs consider hiding the drops in foods most pet’s love such as fish, chicken or yogurt or a favourite treat. If your pet only eats dry food then soak a few kibbles at feeding time.
For Best Results: Herbal dietary supplements are beneficial to the health and well-being of your pet and are safe for long-term use. Every pet responds to natural herbal supplements differently, therefore it is important to be consistent and administer the product daily. Supplements generally take two to four weeks to take effect, however this will vary from one animal to the next.
